smile meditation

scientific studies have shown that by simply smiling with your mouth, your brain thinks you're happy.  (there was also once an episode on ally mcbeal - yes, i know i'm dating myself- in which one of the characters practiced smile therapy whenever he started to get upset.)  so let's give this a whirl to see how to put this into a normal setting - you know, keep it simple.

breathe in, smile.

breath out, smile.

try this for a few seconds, even a few minutes before you get out of bed (read: between hitting snooze).  notice how it makes the rest of your face, your mind and your overall attitude feel. it might brighten even the grumpiest morning person's day.
