the 'tree of life' symbol has floated into my world on several occasions this past week, and i have felt a stronger tie to it.  in fact, the ring pictured here is actually the exact one i got at the satya jewelry sample sale in nyc (forget yoga deal, this one was a steal!). 

the 'tree of life' has many origins and meanings depending on which culture you research, but to me, it's rather simple: grow your roots firm, but then have the flexibility to blow where the wind takes you.
