use only what you need

like eliminating the phantom power that many household appliances draw every minute regardless if they are in use (try a smart strip to reduce this consumption and your utility bill), try really honing in on where you are exerting energy.  if you find yourself clenching and tensing in your body that are not directly related to a yoga pose (or anytime in life), step back, as in go less deep, you may actually end up getting more out of the pose and avoiding a potential injury while you're at it.
