always mula bandha

the bandha or lock, known as mula bandha, is really about activating your kegel muscles in yoga to the layperson (located down under between your sex organs and your anus - hey, i had to create the visual as clearly as possible).  this action of inner drawing up helps create stability.  also through practice, it can help in your sex life as well as keep those muscles active and strong, preventing incontinence in old age.  so remember to always engage yours to add a little extra bonus to your yoga practice... even if that practice happens to be something as relaxing as couch-asana.
