chilly weather and snow storms make it a great time to snuggle up with a book, like when you find yourself stuck in transit (*ahem* mta). although i am usually prone to reading non-fiction, i was recently sent a copy of tales from a yoga studio, so after a little skepticism i gave it a try.
it was actually a fun, fluffy read that taps into the fact that although yoga teachers and students try their best to follow the ideas of a yogic lifestyle, life still gets messy.
in a nutshell, rain mitchell's first - of what is rumored to be a series - novel, is heavy on the chick drama with a splash of yoga.
the yogadeal: for less than the price of a movie in nyc ($10.20), you can take a mental diet from the more heady stuff on your reading list, consider it the babysitters club of the yoga world.
