as you probably already know, i am allergic to most metals, so i am always on the hunt for non-metal bling. i was excited to stumble upon this gratitude necklace by mushana, as it is not only made out of recycled newspaper and barkcloth, is handmade, and is colored with natural dyes (reads: it's uber green), but it also helps to support the economy in uganda, more specifically the women who craft them.
the yogadeal: for $25 (or 2 for $40) you get a pretty necklace that can also double as a meditation tool, or as the website says a reminder " for anyone grateful for 108 things a day."
can you think of 108 things each day you are grateful for? wow, now that's something to meditate on.
