for the past year i have been addicted to ohsawa nama shoyu soy sauce since i was first introduced to it while attending a blueprint cleanse event in the hamptons last year. during the event we made a delicious raw kale salad with cucumbers, sesame seeds, tomatoes, sundried tomatoes and dressed it with soy sauce, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and some sea salt.
unlike other soy sauces out there, nama shoyu is organic (as in no genetically mutated nonsense involved), unpasteurized, gluten-free and raw, making it not only super tasty, but easy to digest (it's loaded with live enzymes and beneficial organisms like lactobacillus) and a home team pick for even the most specific palettes out there.
read: pure goodness.
ohsawa nama shoyu is available online and in a variety of stores (yes, it's at whole foods). the 32-ounce bottle will run you around $20, but will love you long time and add loads of flavor. a worthy investment in my world.
